독특한 대나무 자전거 - Bamboo Bicycle

이 대나무 자전거는 미국의 건축가 '버크민스터 풀러(Buckminster Fuller)'가 고안해낸 '지오데식 돔(Geodesic Domes)'을

기준으로해서 디자인되었습니다. 강철 또는 알루미늄 프레임 대신에 보다 가볍고 탄성이 뛰어난 자연 소재인 대나무로 대체하여

대나무 프레임은 서로 교차된 구조로 몸무게를 분산시켜 지탱할 수 있게 가볍고 강하게 설계되된 도시 환경에 적합한 자전거입니다.

거미줄 격자와 비슷한 구조인 반구형의 돔으로 그 어떤 집보다 강하며, 가볍고, 그 어떤 물질로도 만들 수 있는 건축 구조입니다.

Informed by the sustainable properties of bamboo, these bikes made by belgium industrial designer Michael Verhaeren were based on buckminster fuller's geodesic domes. incorporating the material properties of bamboo as much as possible instead of steel or

aluminum, they are an ecologically-friendly alternative. the majority of existing bamboo bicycle frames are constructed using carbon or organic fibers, reinforced with epoxy connections in order to bind the bamboo parts together. this type of binding is a complex

assembly process that takes a lot of time. here, the easy to assemble frames, use basic tools offering an alternative to bike bamboo construction. using 16 inch wheels, the bikes have proved durable within urban environments.
