스위스 바덴을 근거로 활동하고 있는 산업 디자이너『안드레아스 벤드(Andreas Bhend)』가 디자인한 유아용 자전거 '밀로(Miilo)'는

유아의 나이 2.5세부터 최대 7세까지 탈 수 있는 함께 성장하는 자전거입니다.

아이들에게 어떠한 물건을 사주면 금방 성장하게 되어 불필요해고 나이에 맞는 새로운 물건을 구입하게 됩니다.

이런 문제를 해결할 수 있는 솔루션으로 유아들에게 드는 비용을 줄여 줄 수 있는 효과를 기대하는 디자인입니다.

밀로는 자전거를 처음 접한 유아들이 쉽게 자전거를 탈 수 있도록 균형 감각을 향상시키기 위해 톱니형의 체인링과 페달을 없앤

 트레이닝 자전거로 활용하고, 아이가 점점 성장하면서 자전거를 탈 수 있을 시기에 메인 프레임을 거꾸로 조립하고, 페달과

 체인링, 스프라켓을 장착해 자전거로 사용할 수 있도록 설계된 유아용 자전거 디자인입니다.

Miilo is a bicylce for kids that grows from a trainer bike to a bicycle. It grows together with the child and can be used from 2.5 up to 7 years of age. Children grow up quickly and very soon the clothes and shoes are again too small. That's the same with their trainer bikes and the bicycles. That's very costly for the parents and I thought there must be a simple but clever solution of a bicycle that grows together with the child. The kids train their balance with the trainer bike. Later the trainer bike can be converted into a bicycle with one gear. Additionally to the front brake the bicycle has a back pedal brake. The handlebar, the saddle and the frame can be extended more than by common bicycles, what leads to a very long economic use of the bicycle. So the parents save money. The bicycle can be extended by 3D printed add-ons like a basket, these add-ons could be downloaded from the internet.
